Lori Moran is a licensed Massage Therapist who began her quest by looking for an alternative to traditional pharmaceutical pain management. After a career in accounting left her feeling unfulfilled, she enrolled in night classes at Touching America to become a Licensed Massage Therapist. For 10 long grueling months she continued to have a full-time job, was a devoted mother, and somehow found time to train for a marathon. After her graduation in December 2017, she started working at Massage Arkansas where Lori spent a lot of time training and focusing on her hands-on skills as a Massage Therapist. Additionally, she expanded her knowledge through continuing education classes. Among these were massage cupping, Thai fusion massage, sports massage/stretching and hot stones. Her passion for massage has excelled her as a therapist. In 2019, Lori decided to take her talents to a local spa so that she could further her education, experience, and sharpen her new skillset. While there her new certifications included Total rejuvenation Therapy, deep tissue, massage cupping for scar therapy, reflexology, and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) Therapy/headaches. She had spent the last few years honing her skills, mastering her technique, and perfecting her craft. She is dedicated to massage and takes on any task that comes her way. Lori's thirst for knowledge never stops. She is constantly reading or seeking out a new course to take. Her skills speak for themselves. After padding her resume with years of experience and education, she decided to venture off on her own and bring her skills to Lonoke where she rented a small room and started LM Massages located in Glitz. She remained there for almost 2 years. She couldn’t believe how this city has embraced her as one of their own which is why a few months ago she bought a house and now calls Lonoke home. The last two years were not without challenges. The demand for her time and services reached peak capacity and the need for more space became increasingly apparent. Midway through last year, Lori made a very difficult and emotionally challenging decision to stop taking on new clients. It hurt her to her core, but like most things in Lori’s life, she turned her pain into a personal challenge and tirelessly pursued her next venture. Rooted in Wellness is still based off her original vision of finding an alternative to traditional medicine, which mearly masks the symptoms, causes nasty side effects, and often only acts as a ‘Band-aid’, never really getting to the root of the problem. Don’t worry, Lori is still offering her amazing skillset, relaxing atmosphere, and one of a kind service that we all have grown to love, but she’s added some new services that I know you’ll love also, some things she’s trying out, along with some new products. Lori has also recruited some amazing and very talented professionals, which combine to offer several thousands of hours of experience in many different fields and disciplines.
