Creating balance through touch since 1992

Originally born an Ohio "Buckeye", Kathy moved to the Atlanta area in 1991 after graduating from Kent State University.  Not long after graduation she began experiencing excruciating pain in her low back from an injury she sustained while working at the university.  It was the journey to get rid of that pain twenty two years ago which led her to become a Licensed Massage Therapist.  She’s been practicing ever since.

Her understanding of intense chronic pain gives Kathy a unique understanding of the distress her clients are experiencing.  She begins each session with soothing strokes meant to help her client drift into “the zone” one finds when getting a great massage; Kathy calls this “noodling the client“.  She then begins to address the client’s specific complaint of pain and discomfort.  Through sweeping strokes, compression, gentle holding, rocking and a variety of additional therapeutic techniques Kathy works ever deeper through the body, ferreting out other muscles and areas contributing to their pain.  She finishes the session with a subtle, body balancing technique to bring the session to a close.

Addressing the body as a whole allows Kathy to help her clients gain a better understanding of what types of things add to their suffering.  She identifies what movements and postures contribute to their misery.  She explains how poorly structured work stations contribute to their pain and dysfunction, offering suggestions on office ergonomics, stretching and body mechanics to help return their mobility.  She recommends a customized treatment plan to help them find pain relief, relaxation and body balancing.

Not a believer in the “No Pain No Gain” philosophy, Kathy believes effective work can be offered in a gentle and compassionate way.  Her clients are often surprised by her deft touch and ability to find sore spots they didn‘t know existed.  She brings extensive knowledge and experience to help each client receive the very best in care and therapeutic relief.  She also believes you should get the time you pay for and takes her time to provide a full sixty minute session, unlike many massage franchises and chiropractic offices often providing only a 45 to 50 minute “therapeutic” session.  A very sought after Massage Therapist, Kathy works by appointment only and is often booked solid three to four weeks out at any given date.  Devoted to providing exceptional therapeutic massage to each client she schedules a maximum of three (3) sessions a day Monday through Thursday, giving each client her undivided attention.

Kathy has provided therapeutic massage in chiropractic offices, salons, gyms and independent studios as well as providing corporate on-site chair massage in law offices throughout the Atlanta and Loganville area. You may recognize her from Scott & Company Hair Salon, Heavenly Bodies, Total Fitness & Wellness, Perkins Chiropractic or Loganville Massage Therapy Professionals.  She currently has her Massage Studio located within the Family Practice of Dr. David Fields, MD.  Kathy frequently takes classes to further her understanding of the human body and to better help serve her clients.

Kathy and her family moved to the Loganville area in 1994. You can often find her watching her son throw shot put during the LHS Track season, playing soccer at the Blue Springs Soccer Fields or watching her husband perform with his acoustic trio at local venues.  Kathy is an avid watercolor artist, photographer, music lover, and has a great fondness for rescuing dogs!
