I started my massage career in 2002 and quickly discovered that people were not aware of what was happening in their own bodies. In the beginning, I was surprised every time I heard someone say, “I was so focused on another part of my body that I didn’t know I had tension elsewhere.” Over time, it became something I heard quite a lot. I now believe people need a way to re-connect with everything their bodies already know about being comfortable and healthy.

That's what lead me to pursue somatic therapy. I am able to facilitate a conversation between the client and their body. We get to know how their body communicates and translate its messages together.
I have worked in a variety of settings over the years from clinics to
salons, chiropractor's offices to high-end spas. I enjoy encountering
people from all walks of life and making a contribution to their
well-being.

[Massage is not currently available. However, the following information also describes my approach to somatic therapy. I am able to facilitate safety and relaxation through my intentional presence.
My style of massage is therapeutic yet soothing. I have designed a basic protocol that is thorough and also allows space for focused work. I also customize each massage to address the needs of the client: both concerns they communicate to me and issues I encounter during the session.
One client remarked that my work made her think of an artist sculpting clay. Many are surprised by my ability to relieve tense areas while causing very little discomfort or pain, and that is what keeps them returning to see me.
Smooth transitions from one area of the body to the next make my technique very relaxing as well. My specialty is making people fall asleep and wake up a new person. This aspect of my work is particularly powerful for stress relief and for clients who have difficulty sleeping.]
