Myofascial Release (MFR) is a safe and highly effective whole-body hands-on technique to eliminate pain and restore motion. Trauma, surgical procedures, and/or inflammatory responses can create Myofascial restrictions that produce tensile pressures of up to 2,000 pounds per square inch on pain sensitive structures that do not show up on many standard tests (x-rays, CAT scans, etc.) Myofascial Release treats the entire Myofascial mind/body complex eliminating the pressure that causes the symptoms. We acknowledge the symptoms but treat the root cause.
What is "Myofascial?"
"Myo" means muscle. The fascial system or "fascia" is the three-dimensional, continuous web of connective tissue that interfaces and permeates every system, muscle, bone, nerve, blood vessel, organ, and cell of our body. Fascia separates, supports, connects, and protects everything in our body. Fascia is our body's shock absorber.
