Alaina Tobias

Awareness is the healer.

  • What attracted you to a career in massage?

I chose to pursue a career in massage because I want to make a real, perceivable, positive difference in the quality of others' lives. I want to inspire others towards healing and becoming the best version of themselves. I want to give others' the opportunity to experience their bodies and lives to the fullest extent of vitality possible. I believe bringing awareness and relaxation to areas of the body also helps to heal the mind, emotions, and spirit...

Notable Experiences

I work with a older gentleman doing deep tissue and structural work which allows him to stand 4-8inches straighter and lift his legs 3-6inch higher. He has been walking with a cane and/or walker for several years and deals with sciatic nerve entrapment, fused lumbar vertebrae and fused cervical vertebrae. I approached this man at a gas station one day after observing his struggle with mobility and asked him if he had ever considered massage therapy and he happily declared that he was JUST considering the idea and was delighted I chose to approach him! Since beginning our sessions, his mobility has improved dramatically and impressed his doctor so much that he received a prescription for massage to be covered by his insurance! My client has written a letter of recommendation for me to present with my resume.
