I began to see people, as more than "users behind a computer." People have REAL pain in their lives. Pain that extends beyond the physical into the innermost parts of a person. The moment I got hands-on, I realized I've been preparing myself for this all these years, with all of my experiences, troubles and my joys. I'm effective "fixer", I realized the gift I had.  Being open to help people was a start and being told after each massage session, great hands Justin, hearing this motivated me. Now, I can't wait to see every client who walks through the door and wonder how I will help in renew them.

This calling into massage therapy has taken me on a tour of disciplines. Each of my career path choices, from service, to my hours of study in Biological Sciences, to a Bachelors degree in Psychology has helped shape my understanding of health and wellness. Each choice has brought me into alignment with the strong, intuitive healer that I have always been.

From my own personal experience, past injuries or subconscious stress/irritation can keep the body from its normal, free-working range of motion. A release of those tensions can restore the body to its natural, joyful, pain-free balance.

I believe that an alternative solution to pharmaceutical or even surgical remedies is to view pain as a symptom; and go looking for the underlying condition. By unlocking areas of both physical and emotional trauma, we allow the body to heal and transform itself. That is the work; that is the journey.

Hello! My name is Justin Shelley. I’m a national board certified massage therapist with over fifteen years of professional practice in Advanced Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. My experience includes practices in health clubs and spas in the Philadelphia metropolitan area, and presently in a private practice close to Center City Philadelphia and my home, where I am thrilled to spend more quality therapeutic time with a growing base of long-term clients. My therapeutic sessions are designed to reduce headaches, ease muscular tension, and manage and eliminate pain throughout the body, especially the neck, shoulders, and lower back. Clients are thus better equipped to cope with a range of physical and emotional challenges like depression, PTSD, fibromyalgia, and drug withdrawal, and enjoy an increased range of motion along with a reduction of pain and associated emotional symptoms. My other credentials include national certification in Personal Fitness Training, beginning with my personal preparation for the Physical Readiness Test and Swimming Qualification for active military service in the United States Navy. My additional advanced training at the National Personal Training Institute includes classroom and hands-on experience developing results and goal oriented fitness programs for individual and group clients to improve physical fitness and stamina, learn to live a healthy lifestyle, and to motivate and inspire life-changing habits regardless of physical fitness or ability.
