Hi, thanks for visiting, allow me to introduce myself! I had always enjoyed giving massages to friends and family but never realized I would make massage therapy my career. Yet, in 2008 my husband was diagnosed with Frozen Shoulder (Adhesive Capsulitis) and was scheduled to start physical therapy. Unfortunately (or fortunately) we had to pay a large deductible before he could even start therapy since we had not met our insurance deduction. He had also been doing research and discovered massage therapy many times was as beneficial and for some people, more beneficial than physical therapy for this condition. Jokingly I said he could send me to massage school for the same price. My husband took me up on the offer. Now I have a job I love – and his shoulder is doing great. Massage is a natural way to improve our overall wellbeing. Massage helps relieve stress. As many of us are aware stress is the building block for many of our health problems. Going back to school was a challenge but after completing a 600-hour massage therapy class at Caldwell Community College, graduating at the top of my class, I received my license from the North Carolina Board of Massage and Bodywork Therapy in August, 2009. The Board requires massage therapists to renew their license every two years and take continuing education credits. I have enjoyed taking the classes and learning new techniques to meet my clients’ needs. Let’s schedule an appointment and renew your spirit. I look forward to welcoming you at The Avenue Salon and Spa.

This was my first visit but will definitely not be my last. Jerri was wonderful, informative, knowledgeable, and very professional. The room was perfectly quiet with so many little touches to make it so comfortable. I could literally forget about the outside for that hour. The massage itself truly helped my body aches more than I realized at the time. I would definitely recommend Jerri.
