My name is Stephanie Chamberlain (Ari) and I am here to help make a difference. I Graduated from Platt College as a Massage Therapist. Why massage? One thing I can say with all certainty is that I stand by massage therapy and the wonders it can do for the human body. This is both as a therapist and as a client who needs massage as a part of my life. Massage has wonderful benefits that can help many medical illnesses such as fibromyalgia, lupus, arthritis, stress and anxiety, depression...the list goes on. There are so many factors that can make our everyday lives difficult and sometimes unbearable. However, with many illnesses; mental, physical, emotional, massage can help reduce the effects and make things a lot better for most. I have known so many people in my life that struggle with chronic pain, depression, anxiety, etc., myself included and massage has helped in so many ways. Without massage, too many of the people I love may not be functioning as well on a daily basis. Does this mean massage is a cure? No. Massage alone is wonderful but it is mostly a complimentary medicine and does not replace a doctor nor override their diagnosis, orders or decisions. As a MT, we cannot diagnose, nor prescribe medicine nor treatment that goes beyond our scope of practice.

The main techniques I work with are effleurage, petrissage, cross fiber friction, etc. Though I work with various conditions, the main conditions I have hands on experience with and hope to specialize in are; Fibromyalgia, Lupus, Arthritis, Scoliosis, anxiety, stress, pregnancy, and other chronic pain conditions. I have been trained to do Swedish massage, which is a massage I work with almost daily, Sports/rehabilitation massage, Pregnancy/Special Conditions, Deep Tissue/Trigger Point Therapy, Spa Treatments ranging from hot/cold stone, wraps, scrubs and facials. I can work with various pressures; light, medium, firm, and deep pressure. You name it and I'll do my best to make the pressure just right for every client.
Outside of massage, I have various passions, most of which are Art in nature. Such passions are Theatre, which I hope to one day be very involved in. I participate in many plays here in town and love to sing, write and sketch. The Arts have been my passion since I was three years old. It was always my dream to be a singer and actress. Mostly, because I loved it and I knew that I wanted to make a difference in the world and be someone that my loved ones can be proud of. I wasn't sure how I was going to make a difference i the world, but as I grew up, I began to see just how difficult things were for everyone. Pain alone was the biggest problem I saw and knew. Massage Therapy gives me the ability to lessen pain and make a difference in someone's life, one massage at a time. Even if its a small change, its a big difference in the individual lives I have come to know. And that's what truly mattered to me, always.
It is my goal to share the blessings I encounter each day through massage therapy, to improve one's quality of life and hopefully unlock the door to a place of serenity. I can't wait to work with you guys. Have a beautiful life and I hope to see you soon. Everyone deserves a moment of peace.
