I love getting massages from Jenney! I started going to her when I had a friend recommend Soma Massage to me when I was looking for a massage place. I instantly liked her and thought she did a great job. Unfortunately, I moved away to Seattle for a couple years, so I wasn't really able to continue as her client during that time. I just moved back to Portland a few months ago though and recently went back to get a massage from her for the first time since moving back and it was amazing!! I didn't find a masseuse I liked nearly as much when I was in Seattle. I plan to continue going to her regularly from here on out!

I never had a massage before. I told Lacey that it was slightly painful and uncomfortable. However, she didn’t change her approach. She told me to take a deeper breath. It might be correct that it was possible that I did not like any massage at all, however, I thought she should be more accommodating since she was the professional and understood how it should felt. Honestly, my vertigo got really bad after the massage, and I was sore and bruised

Daniel listened to what I had to say and asked great questions to get to the heart of the pain I was having. With that, he was able to find a group of muscles that not even my PT had considered that was the real focus of my pain. After thoroughly working that area, with constant check ins to make sure the pressure was good, he finished with a more relaxing massage. This meant that I not only got a good workout for my sore muscles, but also walked away feeling refreshed.

I had thought I had scheduled my appointment but had apparently done something wrong and showed up without being in their books. They were sooo nice and were able to work me in anyways. My only complaint is that the location isn't great. It's in a basement of a building and the room doors are pretty thin so you can hear into the waiting area. However, I have had numerous massages and I would highly recommend checking it out! My massage from Daniel was OUTSTANDING & I already precooked 4!

It made me feel very comfortable. She was calming to talk to which was nice since I was late arriving (went to the wrong massage therapy spot in the same little complex-oops!). She was very understanding and kind to me about being late which made it much better for me! Stacey was amazing! She made sure I was comfortable and asked me if the pressure needed to be lighter, heavier or stay the same. She is so nice and I felt like I really could relax with her. I gave my nephew a massage at Soma with Stacey for Christmas and one for myself with Daniel . I really like this place, it's near my house, the space is cozy and warm, it was easy to get our two appointments on short notice, and the Groupon price was a wonderful savings. I recommend 90 minutes to get the full therapeutic benefit of the massage. They are professional and skilled and friendly here.
