Helping and healing myself and others has been a lifelong dedication with many iterations and shifts. I'm a highly sensitive person and found that I could connect to other people's energy with a strong desire to help from a very early age. I developed a fascination with science and medicine after spending my formative years looking up to my mother as she went from high school graduate to practicing physician during my school years. Growing up quizzing her from index cards and studying her medical textbooks and charts helped me to integrate my intuitive senses with the physical body, and I set my intention to being a healer as well.

Studying economics in college sparked an interest in healthcare economics and policy, and I went on to earn an advanced degree in healthcare policy and administration, aspiring to affect change in access and quality for the underserved. Throughout my education, I worked as a medical assistant, medical office manager, and clinical research assistant and I loved to be able to help patients navigate complex and stressful healthcare decisions and processes. Twists and turns in my career led me down the healthcare technology path and landed me across the country in Seattle, WA as a healthcare consultant.

I decided to enroll in an evening and weekend massage school program shortly after arriving in Seattle with no expectations of getting licensed. I discovered that I have the gift of healing touch and I am able to bring my intuition and scientific knowledge together to help clients get relief from their pain and stress. I started my own massage practice in 2000 and have continued to grow and evolve my practice for nearly two decades.

Recognizing the important of nutrition, food quality, and food politics in our health, I decided to pursue an education in integrated nutrition to learn more for my own benefit. I graduated from the Institute for Integrated Nutrition with a certificate in health coaching so that I can support my clients across all dimensions of their wellness journeys. The concept of "integrated nutrition" addresses both what we feed our minds and spirits (primary food), and what we feed our bodies (secondary food) and recognizes that we are holistic beings that thrive when we are nourished in all aspects of our lives. A clean diet is not enough to support our health if we don't have what we need in relationships, careers, and spirituality. My goal is to help clients set and achieve their holistic health goals while supporting their physical and energetic bodies through massage and bodywork.

I continue to move along in my own wellness journey and consider myself as much a student and client of this practice as I am a guide. I still work full-time as a consultant, and I am a single mom of a teenaged boy in the Greater Seattle area.  I enjoy spending time with my family, preferably hiking, camping, or going to the theater. I'm also a rusty tennis player, marginal golfer, and slow jogger. I can't wait to meet you!
