I have worked as a massage therapist in clinical, spa, and workplace environments. My passion for education has led me to complete over 1,000 hours of massage training, including a specialized certification in pre-natal massage and an intraoral endorsement (inside the mouth, particularly relevant for TMJ disorders and release of neck tension). I have also earned both yoga and personal training certifications expressly to provide robust self-care advice based on what is discovered about the body through massage. My massage style blends Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Myofascial techniques to achieve both relaxation and therapeutic outcomes in treating stress, fatigue, muscle tension, and injuries. I believe in the power of relaxation to make space for transformation.

My personal journey had me staying at home for seven years to mother my two children full-time, one with high-functioning autism the other with scoliosis which requires bracing. During that time, I became very familiar with resources for families on Seattle's Eastside. A big piece of my heart in my massage practice belongs to young families. I am a certified perinatal massage therapist (prenatal & postpartum) and an infant massage instructor (teaching basic infant massage to caregivers to increase their bond through nurturing touch in the first year of life). In future, I anticipate adding prenatal yoga to my skillset as well as advanced certifications in infant and youth massage.

REVIEWS for my Bodywork services

Loved the deeper tissue work (that also wasn't too strong). It was the perfect balance of the two. It was a fantastic massage!

I loved the details and care - from aromatherapy, to the tips on stretches after the massage. Michelle clearly cares about her clients, and how to support them to be the best parents possible through a relaxing postnatal massage.

Due to a nerve condition in my left shoulder, it has been some time since I have been able to receive massage. But last night Michelle lofted me away into a world of relaxation and relief.
