After 3 decades of doing alignment and frame-straightening on automobiles, I switched to human anatomy. Extra funds gave me the opportunity to try something different and I have devoted my career to working with athletes and weekend warriors. Nine years of free chiropractic treatment from an Applied Kinesiologist/Chiropractor in Seattle, taught me a lot that I apply to my approach with massage therapy and I use many techniques I have devised myself.

After hurting lower back on first day in Kihei, we found Steve at the Kahului Saturday market three days later. He was able to help me understand what the issue was and offer assistance, a 20 minute session at the market (where he is every Saturday), recommendations on in-room yoga exercises to help loosen the area, and another 90 minute session at his office two days later. Because of his expertise, Steve was able to loosen a very painful and tight area. If I was still in Kihei, I would have done another 2-3 sessions before flying back to the mainland. Highly recommend.

I am so happy I stumbled across Steve at the Maui swap meet. I had just slipped my disk the evening before and was in extreme pain when I had found him. Steve gave me such relief that I had tears of joy roll down my face while on his table. He was extremely knowledgeable and explained the body parts he was working on and why. I met Steve at the Maui swap meet! He basically touched the “tip of the iceberg!” I did 2 follow-up appt’s, longer visits, and he went above and beyond my small minded expectations. Non-invasive, but supportive. Steve first reminded me to breathe deeply, then he did firm strokes that reached around where the tightness was to alleviate the muscle spasms.
Ambiance was nice and clean with a sense of calm neutrality, nothing to jar me or upset me, and that helped. I liked the string of music that Steve had playing; a variety of tunes I was not familiar with all of them so it was interesting. Steve keeps our encounter very professional, as I feel he is looking out for my best interest clinically and doesn't mix up the personal stuff at all, which is what I need. Although I want to be on a positive footing with my masseuse, I don't want to get drawn into their personal stuff. I can talk about mine but "small kine" as I'm not there to chat much.
