Therapeutic massage therapy has been a passion of mine since I was young. The human body and it's resiliency never ceases to amaze me. Therapeutic massage therapy has been a passion of mine since I was young. The human body and it's resiliency never ceases to amaze me. I was in a car accident in 1994, suffering severe whiplash and other minor injuries. I was then introduced to, and experienced first-hand, the many healing benefits of massage therapy. I was intrigued with how my body responded so well to professional, therapeutic touch. That prompted me to do more research on massage therapy and it's many forms. This led me to my purpose, and eventually career, as a licensed massage therapist.

After I graduated from Marshall University in 2003 with my Bachelor's Degree in Sociology, I moved to Orlando, FL to pursue my dream of becoming a massage therapist. I attended Florida College of Natural Health and acquired an Associate's Degree in Advanced Therapeutic Massage, specializing in Neuromuscular Therapy and Sports Massage.

I have been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2004, gaining experience in the medical, spa, and independent environments over the years. I'm happy to share that the same passion for helping others through this type of work still grows stronger everyday.

In January, 2019, I completed the 135+ hour Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT) course through Norton School of Lymphatic Therapy to become a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT). This certification involves an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the lymphatic system, Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD), bandaging, and/or remedial exercises as it pertains to lymphedema and other causes of edema/swelling (ie...chronic venous insufficiency, trauma, injury, or post-surgical swelling).

Along with spending quality time with family and friends, I enjoy outdoor sports like hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, snowboarding, rock climbing, volleyball, and much more.

There is so much happening in our world. My hope is that you make the time to take care of your mind, body, and spirit.

In health,
Katie

Very professional; took the time to ask questions about what was hurting and why I wanted/needed the massage. The setting was very relaxing. Everything was clean and she took the time to wash her hands more than once before she even started. Overall, it was an excellent experience that helped my neck pain and I will go back again.
