What attracted you to a career in massage?
I went into massage after realizing what a powerful part of life touch really was. A friend was telling us about how a simple hug could change the aggressive behavior of his client that lived in a group home, and he realized at that point that his clients simply did not receive enough loving touch. From this story, I began my own research into how our bodies are designed to utilize touch as a social behavior, and found that there are many groups that are missing this essential component in human communication: children, adolescents, the elderly, the overworked adult, people with mental illness, etc. The list of people that benefit from human touch is so extensive that I felt called to do something about it. I enrolled in massage therapy school and never looked back.

I attended Wellspring School of Allied Health.
What techniques do you specialize in? What issues or conditions does your work help improve?
I specialize in healing touch therapy. For one person that may mean a light, relaxing massage. For the next person, that may mean deep tissue release on a low back injury, and on the next person, it may mean holding them while they process a traumatic memory.
I have had great success in helping people with repetitive stress injuries using my facilitative stretch and myofascial release background. My intuitive and sensitive nature makes it easy for those with trauma and body image issues to open up to me.
Where are you available to provide massage?
My office is conveniently located about 3 minutes from I-35 and Antioch in Merriam, KS. I'm available for outcall services (call for approval) within a 25 mile radius of Kansas City, MO.
What hobbies and other interests do you have?
I like to read, go camping, spend time outside, and spend time with my three children.
