If you’re looking for a professional Licensed Massage Therapist, you’ve come to the right place. My name is Dania VanderMeer (pronounced daynuh) and I have over 9 years experience as a Licensed Massage Therapist.

Deep Tissue

Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. A highly effective method for releasing chronic stress due to misalignment, repetitive motions, & past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is very common after the treatment.

Pregnancy massage focuses on addressing the special needs of expecting women. Specially-designed massage tables, cushions, and side-lying postures are used to prevent putting pressure on the abdomen.

Chinese Cupping - ADD ON

Cupping therapy is a form of alternative medicine in which a local suction is created on the skin. This negative pressure helps loosen muscle tissue, promote healthy blood flow and sedate the nervous system. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session. Please be prepared for visable bruising and marks left on skin after session.

I was drawn to massage through my experience working in an office setting for 20+ years, sitting at a desk in front of a computer monitor for extended periods of time and weighing over 200 pounds. Over the course of time, I experienced back and neck pain due to poor posture and sought Physical Therapy and Chiropractic Services to learn to rewire my thought processes and learn how to heal myself without relying on anti-inflammatories or other pharmaceuticals. I would also witness the transformations that other PT and Chiropractic patients would make and when the “light” would finally come back in to their eyes after they learned how to strengthen their bodies through proper exercise techniques and guidance from a steady routine of exercise maintenance combined with massage.
A June 2012 Dean’s List Graduate of the One Year Massage Certificate Program at Central Oregon Community College, I am trained in Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue, Pediatric Massage, Pre-Natal Massage, Orthopedic Massage for both Shoulder and Low Back injuries and Oncology Massage. I also have formal training in Chinese Cupping, Essential Oils for relaxation, Non-Violent Communication and Laughter Yoga.
It is my passion and life goal to help clients reconnect with their inner child and create a mind body connection to integrate better health and wellness in all aspects of their lives. Living in the present is really important. Life is simple; we are the ones who tend to complicate it. Stop and smell the roses, don’t just take their picture.
I am an active, fun loving, independent woman, who digs HIIT, road trips, camping, hiking with my dog, yoga, skiing, snowshoeing, dancing, going to concerts and anything outdoors.
