I am a NYS Licensed Massage Therapist as well as a certified mindfulness & meditation instructor.
At Sanctuary I hold safe space for All, with careful consideration for what you may be carrying in your life and body each time we meet. I practice Integrative Massage Therapy; incorporating different methods within each session, tailored to your specific needs. With my passion for anatomy and physiology combined with my respect for energetic flow, my goal is to assist in bringing you comfortably back into your body by nurturing your own intuitive healing processes. This approach allows space for balance and peace, as you are your own healer; I am here to assist you in your process.
I am especially interested in where Emotion meets Physical Body. Have you ever heard the saying, "your issues are in your tissues?" I believe that while we are walking histories of our experiences on this earth, massage therapy can help us let go of what no longer serves us with ease, relaxation and even joy. I am here to support you on your path to health and harmony.
While my HeartWork is in working with women who are healing from difficult experiences (including chronic health issues especially related to women's health and loss) and folks grieving loss of all kinds, I enjoy working with everypeople; All bodies, All backgrounds. I am LBGTQ+ and trans-affirmative.
I welcome fellow HSPs (Highly Sensitive Person, as per the groundbreaking work of *Elaine Aron, PhD) and anyone yearning to connect body-to-Self.
I am honored to be a part of your healing journey, wherever you may be in that process!
Modalities (bodywork methods) I include:
- Swedish Massage
- Medical Massage
- Energy work (Polarity Therapy, Chakra Balancing, energetic/acupoint holds)
- Trigger Point Therapy/Neuromuscular Therapy
- Connective Tissue Therapy
- Grief Massage

Bio:
I live in Brooktondale, NY with my partner and our cat...I'm a dog person who somehow acquired and dearly loves her cat! I grew up in close-by Ithaca, lived in Austin TX for 10 years, spent some time in Los Angeles CA, and then came back to this area to be with family and friends. I make things (art, food, jewelry, tea) and read things (lots of things). I am most passionate about relationships and connections to self, others, nature and environment -- for I believe that this is where real life happens.
Namaste, Shalom, Blessings, Amen. May your body be a peaceful Home.

Cancellation Policy
*COVID-19 UPDATE: ALL covid-related cancellations will be honored at no charge. Please stay safe, and keep each other safe.*
I understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone's lives, so will consider each event on a case-by-case basis. In my desire to be effective and fair to all clients (as well as to myself and my other commitments), the following policies are honored:
48 hour advance notice is required when canceling an appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment. If you are unable to give me 48 hours advance notice you will be charged half the amount of your appointment. This amount must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment. After 3 consecutive cancellations, I may ask you to seek help elsewhere.
No-shows
Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a “no-show.” You will be charged full price for the missed appointment. After 3 no-shows, I may ask you to seek help elsewhere. I am a solo practitioner/entrepreneur/small business owner. I very consciously spend time and energy setting the space for each client, preparing for you. A no-show has the power not only to take time away from other clients, but is disrespectful of my time and dedicated work, as well as your own precious selfcare. Please be as conscientious as possible (again, there are always exceptions dependent on circumstance).
Late Arrivals
If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, I will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start a session. Regardless of the length of the session actually given, you will be responsible for the full session. Out of respect and consideration to your therapist and other clients, please plan accordingly and be on time.

48 hour advance notice is required when canceling an appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment. If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, I will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start a session.
