Growing up, JoAnn has been intrigued with biology. She's been touching bodies and lives since she became a Reiki Master Teacher in 2004. This desire to help others in a profound way led her to an amazing journey to other countries to learn about other wellness-promoting techniques. 

JoAnn has since received her Massage License in the State of Arizona and attended numerous Bodywork training classes. She believes in being a life-long learner to make her a better therapist and human being.

Deep Tissue

Specialize in Deep Tissue Massage Used in conjunction with trigger point techniques to lengthen and strengthen weakened and sore muscles. Use specific techniques such as stripping, petrissage, jostling, pincer palpation to release muscle stagnation.

Neuromuscular

Received training from Precision Neuromuscular Therapy (PNMT) - specialize in Spine and Thorax dysfunctions Perform necessary assessments with clients to pinpoint areas of concern for precise bodywork techniques during the session to effectively mitigate pain

Reflexology

Provide an "Integrative Unwinding Signature" Foot Massage/Reflexology session that combines knowledge of reflexology and craniosacral rhythms to allow the tissues in the feet to "unwind". This releases scar tissue, repairs dysfunctions in the feet and accomplishes overall body wellness as specific reflex points in the feet are stimulated. Many clients report their feet feeling much better and they also feel a sense of grounded-ness.

Trager Approach

Received training in a class from SWIHA called, Rocking and Unlocking. This is used in conjunction with a massage session. Sometimes, this technique helps release those stubborn areas of tension.

Other

Visceral Manipulation - Barral Institute Specific listening (tissue and organ palpation) is used to identify area of tension in the body to help address both structural and organ dysfunction. Organs have their own innate motion and movement in the body. This is measured by their relationship and placement in the abdominal cavity. This gentle and powerful technique has helped clients with digestive issues, hiatal hernia, ulcers to name a few.

JoAnn is a miracle worker! The service I received yesterday helped to relieve the overall malaise I was feeling from dealing with hip osteoarthritis.
