I became an acupuncturist because of an illness I contracted when I was 16 years old. Horrible virus type symptoms, and even after the acute illness faded, I was left totally exhausted, hardly able to do anything. I had all the Western tests run on me, and they were, of course, "normal." I said that wasn't normal for a teenager, and went to an acupuncturist my mom was seeing. My acupuncturist actually listened to me, and we uncovered anxiety and depressive symptoms at the root of it all that I wasn't addressing or dealing with. Not only did my acupuncturist make me feel better, I feel like she actually listened to me and heard and validated what I had to say.
I attended 3 1/2 years of acupuncture school at Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder, CO. It was more than 2,500+ hours, more than 1,200 of those being clinical experience. I am a licensed acupuncturist in the State of Colorado, and hold a Diplomate of Acupuncture with the NCCAOM.
Acupuncture helps with a WIDE variety of issues from allergies, headaches, fertility issues, musculoskeletal pain, insomnia issues, stress, digestive issues, and more. I specialize not only in treating the issue you struggle with, but also the stress goes along with that issue.
I see clients at Optimal Health Matters in Highlands Ranch, Colorado.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, and our young son. We like to go on family walks, play board games with friends, cheer on our favorite sports teams, and read. hide
