Hi! My name is Tiana Allman, a licensed massage therapist, meditation coach, military veteran, sexual assault survivor and owner of Hartford Therapeutic Massage & Wellness Center.
I’ve always had a passion for sports, as this was what I used to escape and cope with my trauma which began at the young age of 10. Through high school and my first semester at Central Connecticut State University, I really focused on health, sports, and poetry.
My interest in health and sports stems from my family. Many of my family members have struggled with overcoming their health and some have even passed due to these issues. I became incredibly passionate about learning holistic, healthy and natural ways for coping with life.
I then joined to army, mainly for the experience and lifestyle.
That’s when I came back to my first love, massage therapy. I enrolled at Cortiva Institute for Massage and Bodywork and went into school thinking I would specialize in sports massage, until I found a calling that was much closer to my heart and the reason why sports played a huge part in my life… my trauma. For the first 3 months of school, I experienced many emotional releases. Being in the school of touch, learning about safe touch, and therapeutic touch from a professional, I realized that massage was way more than what I thought it was. I found out how guarded I was, massage revealed my trust issues and shined light to my body insecurities.
My traumas showed their true colors and I had a choice to make, give up or to keep going. I chose to persevere and bounce back resiliently. I turned my misery into my ministry, and now I am on a mission to educate fellow survivors on safe and therapeutic touch. I’m passionate about educating my community on self-confidence, positive mental attitudes, spirituality, and health. I’ve used all of these tools to heal, and now I’m here to help you with your healing journey.

I’ll be going back to see Tiana on a regular basis. I’ve got a lot of tension in my neck and back that cause really back headaches. She did stretches with my shoulders and neck that I’ve never experienced with a massage therapist before and I felt great afterwards! Great experience! I’m looking forward to my next visit.

Tiana was amazing from the moment I walked in. Very professional, and compassionate at the same time. Listened to me with attention and made me feel very comfortable. She asked questions to tailor the massage to my needs and likes. The room is clean, the lighting was dim, the smells was amazing, the music was calming, and the therapeutic oils were perfection. Her skill is impeccable; her attention to detail was palpable. I would highly recommended her!!!
