Pre-Natal massage focuses on relieving stress/tension for a woman who is preparing birth for her unborn child. These massages can be done as early as the 1st Trimester. As the pelvic begins to anteriorly tilt and the pregnant mother looses her center of gravity, Pre-Natal massage can also provide an overall balance to the body in preparing for child birth.
A type of massage focusing on pressure point relief in minimizing trigger points that cause muscle tension.
Medical massage is the application of a specific treatment targeted to the problem(s) a patient presents with a diagnosis (via a prescription from a doctor). The treatment is administered after a thorough assessment/evaluation by the Medical Massage Therapist with outcomes being the basis for the treatment. It is taking and combining the styles and techniques the practitioner knows and applying them to specific conditions to bring about specific outcomes.
Stretching increases the bodies flexibilty and range of motion.
