Lydia-Carlie (she/her) is a queer, Black Haitian birthworker based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her journey as birthworker began very early on; she was raised in a multi-generational Haitian household where she was immersed in the births around her, fascinated with caring for her younger sibling and cousins.
She is a certified Birth & Postpartum Doula, a Reiki Master/Teacher, and a certified Neuromuscular Massage Therapist specializing in prenatal, perinatal, and postpartum recovery massage. Her practice, SageFemme Wellness supports families through their pregnancy and birth journeys.

I booked an appointment I desperately needed after not receiving bodywork for months. I am so happy I booked a 90 min customized session. Lydia expertly moved through modalities to address all of my areas of concern. It felt like the massage went on and on for hours!!! I was feeling so good after my session, I left some personal items behind that I had to retrieve. Just to drive the point home, I am also a massage therapist. I am constantly in search of a new therapist because all bodywork is not created equal. I feel like I have finally found a therapist that returns they level of physical relief and support that I give to my clients. I should have contacted her sooner. When I met with her I couldn't move my head at all without searing pain. It's the day after, and I can't believe how much I can turn my head now, I feel like I skipped a month of turning my entire torso to talk to people. She gave me easy to follow instructions on just general form for simple ways to do things one normally does through the day, in order to help heal faster. I've never had a massage before, but she made it easy to communicate how to help her help me with my problem in like the first 2 minutes.

An overall great experience. I saw Lydia for my first ever Reiki treatment and was very satisfied. She has an obvious intuitively healing nature and you are instantly put at ease. I can't wait to try some of the other services that she offers.

I've had quite a few massages from Lydia and she brings such a great energy to her healing sessions. By far my favorite masseuse that I've had work on me. Super aware of what my body needs even with each of my sessions being different the end result is always my body being in a better condition that when she starts.
