“Promoting radical self-love and self-care by offering professional therapeutic massage and individualized self-care education that empowers individuals to live a healthy, balanced life.”

I believe that radical self-care is wildly significant in the topics of health and wellness and living a healthy, balanced life. I define radical self-care as the conscious choice to engage in the activities that are required to achieve and maintain optimal levels of physical, psychological, emotional, social, and spiritual health. I believe that radical self-care is wildly significant in the topics of health and wellness and living a healthy, balanced life. I define radical self-care as the conscious choice to engage in the activities that are required to achieve and maintain optimal levels of physical, psychological, emotional, social, and spiritual health. The model of this practice that I suggest to my clients prioritizes their personal needs for health and wellness.

I have seen time and time again that when we shift into caring for ourselves first, common health ailments are lessened, stress levels are reduced, and optimum levels of health and well-being are reached. In addition, I believe our ability to love and nurture others increases exponentially when we prioritize our own needs.  I propose that it is never too late to reframe our mindset, create new boundaries, and discover the power of radical self-care strategies that feed body, mind, spirit, and help us thrive in this world.

I am passionate about massage therapy and its many benefits! The benefits of including regular massage therapy sessions into one’s self-care routine are undeniable.  I have experienced this personally and science continues to provide evidence of the many benefits to our health and wellness. Massage therapy has been proven to:

  • Alleviate low-back pain and improve range of motion.
  • Assist with shorter, easier labor for expectant mothers and shorten maternity hospital stays.
  • Ease medication dependence.
  • Enhance immunity by stimulating lymph flow—the body’s natural defense system.
  • Exercise and stretch weak, tight, or atrophied muscles.
  • Help athletes of any level prepare for, and recover from, strenuous workouts.
  • Improve the condition of the body’s largest organ—the skin.
  • Increase joint flexibility.
  • Lessen depression and anxiety.
  • Promote tissue regeneration, reducing scar tissue and stretch marks.
  • Pump oxygen and nutrients into tissues and vital organs, improving circulation.
  • Reduce post surgery adhesions and swelling.
  • Reduce spasms and cramping.
  • Relax and soften injured, tired, and overused muscles.
  • Release endorphins—amino acids that work as the body’s natural painkiller.
  • Relieve migraine pain.

I love working with my clients to help them discover the many benefits of regular massage sessions and assisting them in learning to implement self-care strategies for themselves in between their sessions with me. In addition to massage, I offer individualized stretching routines that target problematic muscle groups and recommendations for your at home relaxation practices.

I offer a personalized therapeutic massage experience that is guided by knowledge, intuition, and intention. I believe that a deep massage is not always deep pressure, but is always deep presence. I listen carefully to you before we begin our session, and continue to listen to you and your body throughout the massage session. Invoking relaxation within the body is central to my work. I use long gliding strokes, gentle rhythmic rocking, and encourage deep breathing to engage your parasympathetic nervous system. After your body has relaxed, and your tissues have softened, I explore the deeper layers of your muscle tissue and work to remove stored tension and dysfunction. I draw from an eclectic blend of massage methods including Swedish, Neuromuscular therapy, Trigger point therapy, Energy, & Esalen. One of the many sources of joy in my career is being a certified Nurturing the Mother Pregnancy Massage Therapist by Claire Marie Miller Seminars. I am trained to offer safe and therapeutic massage for every stage of your pregnancy.

Often times, our muscles have many, many years of stored up tensions from trauma, overuse and repetitive motions. If you are ready to transform your life and begin a healing journey that connects your mind, body, and spirit, I would love to work closely with you to eliminate the pain and discomfort from these stored up tensions. In our massage sessions, we will create new muscle memory that allows you to feel more connected and tuned in to your body, have less pain, and feel more relaxed and rejuvenated in your day to day activities.
