Over the past 21 years of working with the public in a fitness or wellness capacity, I have developed a passion for making people feel better. Through 14 years as a Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist in outpatient Cardiovascular & Pulmonary Rehabilitation, I am experienced working with people who have a variety of health issues. Although I began training as a Medical Yoga Therapist in 2007 through the Professional Yoga Therapy Institute, this rigorous training was not complete till 2011. Since 2007, I have had the pleasure of meshing my newfound knowledge as a Yoga Therapist with my expertise as an Exercise Physiologist in the clinical setting through a variety of group and individual treatments aimed at reducing pain or anxiety, improving shortness of breath, and teaching stress management techniques. As a result, I am capable of assessing a person's needs from the Western medical viewpoint as well as the Eastern Ayurvedic Yoga perspective. I am looking forward to helping others cultivate balance and optimal health through the use of these techniques.

Chair Integrative Therapies Committee

I was the chair of the Integrative Therapies Committee at Vidant Medical Center from 2012-2015. During this time we advocated for more widespread use of therapies such as yoga, massage, reiki, aromatherapy, and pet therapy. I am proud to have been part of this committee since 2009 and helped initiate it.
