I chose to become a massage therapist for a few reasons. I wanted to do something that I could feel good about at the end of the day, and making people feel better through massage and body work is very gratifying. My mom was a huge inspiration in my decision to become a massage therapist. She developed Parkinson's Disease in 2006 and was also born with Cerebral Palsy and with both of those diagnosis she experiences cramping, muscle tension and decreased range of motion. Massage Therapy has so many wonderful benefits aside from it just feeling AMAZING it helps increase blood circulation, Decreased anxiety, Enhanced sleep quality, Increased range of motion and Reduced fatigue. I truly believe massage is a wonderful and truly necessary part of an individuals health care regime.
