I am a licensed massage therapist of 18 years, a Reiki Master of 12 years and Cranial Sacral Practitioner of two years.  My passion is using holistic modalities to help people overcome their obstacles physically, mentally, emotionally and sometimes even spiritually. My personal vision of massage and what it can do is enormous. Yes, massage can sooth aching muscles, but it can do so much more. As a massage therapist I can decrease pain, improve range of motion in joints, improve flexibility in muscle tissue, lower blood pressure, reduce stress and anxiety, improve circulation and lymph flow, take pressure off of pinched nerves to enhance nerve function throughout the body and organs, bring grounding and stability to a person’s state of mind, decrease the healing time of injuries and improve the body’s ability to heal overall. What pill can you get from a doctor that can do all of that in a short amount of time? There isn't one! In fact, with many pharmaceuticals people often cover up one symptom while causing another. That is why I love what I do! Massage and the other forms of body work I provide create balance throughout the body so that it has a better chance to heal itself. I believe equilibrium is what everyone should strive for and by getting regular massages, Craniosacral or Reiki sessions, a more balanced state of health can be achieved. With my bachelor’s degree in Wellness and Alternative Medicine I can also help you with nutrition, supplementation and other holistic remedies to achieve your goals.  I like to think that the services I provide help to weave the body, mind and soul together so that my patients can feel whole in a time of change and uncertainty.

My massage sessions are usually a combination of different techniques which may include Swedish, deep tissue, reflexology, stretching, range-of-motion work, and trigger point therapy. (I can also add Craniosacral techniques or Reiki to a massage session if requested at no extra cost).  I find that a combination of bodywork techniques works best during each session because every injury and area of the body reacts differently depending on a patient’s personal preferences, physiology and the condition at hand.

Most of my career has been spent working with chiropractors so I am very experienced in helping my patients overcome chronic back pain, hip pain, joint injuries, chronic headaches, neck pain, anxiety and stress. Over the last 18 years I have worked on a vast array of age groups, injuries, body types and conditions. The only condition I will not address is sexual disfunction unless the patient wants to address the dysfunction mentally, emotionally and spiritually through Reiki or Craniosacral/emotional release where the patient is fully clothed.

Please be reassured that I take what my patients have to say very seriously. I work from the understanding that my patient knows their body better than anyone else. I listen to their concerns and adjust my body work sessions accordingly so that they are as comfortable as possible. My ultimate goal is to help my patients make peace with all their broken pieces. Welcome to Peace Place.

Licensed Massage Therapist and Chiropractic Assistant at Schafer Chiropractic and Healing Spa

In 2016 I performed 25, 45, 55 and 85 minute massages on Dr. Schafer’s patients as well as spa patients. I primarily performed Deep Tissue, Trigger Point/Therapeutic massage as well as Swedish, Prenatal, and Reiki depending on the doctor’s notes and the patient’s needs. When I was not performing massage, I was assisting the office manager and doctor answering phones, making reminder calls, scheduling patients, filing folders, taking payments, taking the blood pressure, height and weight of new patients, assisting with office flow, performing light cleaning duties as well as setting patients up with ice packs and heating pads. I worked closely with the doctor so that we could give his patients the best care possible.

Lead Massage Therapist at Chiropractic Unlimited

From 2016 to 2020, I worked as the lead massage therapist with three of the best chiropractors in Grand Rapids, MI at Chiropractic Unlimited, (East Paris location). I performed 4 to 5 one hour, therapeutic massages Monday thru Friday working closely with the doctors and patients to create unique sessions with a combination of massage techniques that best aided our patients in injury recovery.

Lead Massage Therapist at Chiropractic First

From 2013 to 2016 I worked at Chiropractic First as the lead massage therapist with Dr. Heath. I worked 3 days a week, up to 7 massages a day in which I performed 60-minute massages primarily using Deep Tissue, Therapeutic/Trigger Point, Swedish and Prenatal Massage Techniques. I was trusted and worked in the office alone. I had my own key and closed the office 3 days a week. I collected money, scheduled clients, made reminder calls and kept the massage room clean and functional every day that I worked. I built up a wonderful, returning clientele that I looked forward to helping each week
