I received my certification in massage therapy while attending Muskegon Community College and became nationally certified through the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) in 2004. I am state licensed in Michigan since massage licensing inception in 2016. I was trained in deep tissue massage using myofascial release and trigger point therapy. I have experience in additional massage styles including: Swedish, sports/injury related, aromatherapy, hot stone and pregnancy.

An active conservationist, I spend my spare time volunteering as Chair of the Sierra Club Greater Grand Rapids Committee working to do as much as we can to preserve the environment, enjoying nature, reading, researching a wide range of topics from aromatherapy to conservation genetics, attending music festivals, and being with friends and family. I love spending time with my family which includes my significant other, Shane, two children, Michael and Luna, and two fur babies, Cheddar and Zuri.

In addition to massage therapy, I have earned an Associate in Arts and Science from Muskegon Community College and a Bachelor of Science in biology with an emphasis on wildlife from Grand Valley State University, in which my research was focusing on conservation. I recently completed yoga teacher training at the Art of Teaching Yoga with Mimi Ray and am currently working on certification with Yoga Alliance at the RYT200 level.
