Massage therapy is more to me than just making a living:
it is my goal to improve your quality of life through pain reduction and easier
movement. The journey that brought me to become a therapist began with my
breast cancer diagnosis in 2007. Having survived the traditional treatment of
chemotherapy and radiation, I have come to believe that surgery and
pharmaceutical medication should be a last resort. I try to think outside the
box when it comes to helping my clients, and look at issues as a whole, taking
into consideration how emotions can contribute to pain. I am dedicated to
educating myself and improving the quality of care I give to my clients. I am a
skeptic by nature and do not use or promote anything that has not benefitted me
personally. I am my first and most important client!
I studied at the Dayton School of Medical Massage in Kettering, Ohio,
graduating and passing my licensing exam in 2012. In 2015 I began studying the
Voila method of Structural Joint Balancing, a new and exciting modality that
allows me to help your body correct itself both in static positions and
movement.
I love bluegrass, play a bit of mandolin, and sing harmony. I enjoy cycling and
riding my Harley in my spare time. I also read, garden, and spend time with my
two sons.
