Sports Massage is designed to increase athletic performance and deal with the effects of repetitive muscle use that can lead to uneven muscular development, fatigue, strain or injuries. As part of athletic training, massage increases the lifetime of the athlete by increasing circulation and flexibility, reducing the chance of injury, and promoting recovery and mobile scar tissue in the case of injury.

Structural Bodywork

Sessions may include an assessment of the body while standing and can help to address postural issues and movement patterns that may be causing you pain. Typical attire for men is shorts. Sports bra and shorts for women. Myofascial Release techniques will be used to stretch and repair the connective tissue between your muscles (fascia). It helps your body heal properly from injuries and can restore range of motion.

Jessica “Jess” Stamper completed her massage training in 2012 at Healing Arts Institute in Fort Collins. She specializes in Neuromuscular Rehabilitation Therapy for TMJD, Whiplash, headaches and Scoliosis, Deep Tissue Massage, Myofascial Release and Cupping. Jess’s integrative approach to healing starts with educating and bringing awareness to her clients about the stress patterns that occur in the body. She is passionate about facilitating change in her clients by helping them interrupt these stress patterns that lead to imbalance and pain. Over the years she has developed a diverse skill set that allows her to work with a range of clients and lifestyles. Her work with athletes has especially grown as she has become more active with the Triathlon and running communities. Even though Jess is a California native, she has made Colorado home since 2007 and loves being part of the active outdoor lifestyle. When she’s not working, you can often find her hanging out with her son paddle boarding, fly fishing, skiing, hiking, and the list goes on.
