CHEILE MASSAGE WILL REMAIN CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE DUE TO THE SARS-COVID 19 PANDEMIC.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME AND UNDERSTANDING.
Chèile Massage was founded with the intent of helping our clients achieve sustainable results and improved quality of life through Therapeutic Massage. The word Chèile means to bring harmony out of discord, and that is our goal - to help restore harmony and balance in the body and between the body and mind.
At Chèile, we want our clients to be better, not just feel better for a little while.
Our goal is to achieve maximum efficacy and sustainable results. We evaluate muscular issues and work with each client individually to assess and identify the sources of pain and then develop a treatment plan and approach that utilizes a customized variety of modalities including deep tissue muscle release, neuromuscular (trigger point) therapy, effleurage (Swedish), and stretching techniques to meet our treatment goals. Other modalities such as hot stones, Gua Sha and sound therapy may also be incorporated as appropriate at no extra charge.
Therapeutic massage can help to relieve pain and soreness and can help stop the cycle of dysfunction and compensation.
The human body contains hundreds of muscles controlled by billions of neurons. All movement requires the complex coordination of signals between different muscle groups working in opposition to one another where one group contracts while another relaxes - its a group effort, and every piece has to do its part. Poor posture, repetitive motion, overexertion, stress, chronic health conditions and many other factors can cause disruption in this process which can lead to dysfunction resulting in muscle soreness and pain. Chronic soreness and pain can also lead to compensation (where other muscles are called in to do the job of the muscles that are in dysfunction) which can then lead to more pain, more dysfunction and more compensation.. and the cycle continues.
How often should I get a massage?
At Chèile, we view treatment as a partnership between the client and the therapist and work with each client individually to establish a plan that best meets their needs and treatment goals. The frequency of treatment for maximum benefit will depend on the individual client. Factors such as current muscle health, occupation, type and level of physical activity, overall health, age, and the clients willingness and ability to correct the contributing factors of dysfunction all play a part in its development.
