: By embracing the Buddhist teachings of mindfulness, compassion, generosity, and humility as core elements of my practice, I recognize that the greatest healing manifests from a person who is physically, emotionally, and mentally at ease-- which is facilitated, but not created
, by a bodyworker or instructor.
I also honor the slow, deep aspects of the traditional Thai healing art known as Nuad Boran which is a great deal different from Western massage in that it focuses as much (if not more) on the energetic being as the physical being. I find that anyone who gets up from the mat is not only relaxed and feeling great physically, but also able to more strongly hear and recognize the timeless Self; a piece of our primal being that often gets lost under the pressures of everyday living.
Areas I find to be common in my clientele: hip problems, issues with digestion, emotional blocks, insomnia, and post-recovery from injuries (specifically from "powering through" running, yoga, and manual labor.) I also really enjoy working with women experiencing the achy-ness of pregnancy, the otherworldliness of postpartum, the frustration of challenging cycles, and the "oddities" of peri/menopause.Workshops/Gatherings/Retreats
