Northwestern Health Sciences University - Bloomington, MN - August 2015 Associates of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Massage Therapy 1207.5 contact hour COMTA Accredited Program including: • 330 hours of assessment and treatment techniques for chronic/acute pain relief, Swedish style relaxation, rehabilitative/clinical massage training and working with special populations • 270 hours of anatomy, physiology, pathology, medical terminology and nutrition • 97.5 hours of communications, ethics, legal issues, HIPAA, CAM, treatment documentation, research and business practices • 50 hours of elective studies in: hospital based massage therapy, hydrotherapy and sports massage.

Practical Therapeutic Massage Experience

• 180 hours of supervised hands-on therapeutic massage at University Health Services - De Rusha Clinic in Roseville, MN and Pillsbury House Integrated Health Clinic, Minneapolis, MN • 12 hours of supervised hands-on hospital based massage at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN • Health History Intake, SOAP documentation and on-going record keeping for 90+ clients within the clinic system • 8 hours of chair massage • 20 hours of hands-on experience in sports massage

Techniques, Modalities and Areas of Focus

• Swedish Relaxation Techniques • Clinical/Rehabilitative techniques of trigger point therapy and cross fiber friction • Comprehensive assessment and restoration of soft tissue health and mobility, and rehabilitative massage for diverse populations.
