I am an LMT myself so I am always looking for someone who really understands the body and Kai really knows her stuff! Not only did she listen to me regarding the areas that were bothering me, she knew what areas correlated around them to really relieve the pain I was having. I am a new mom and just needed some relief and relaxation and she delivered! The massage room was very relaxing and calming, the minute I walked in I immediately felt relaxed. Skip it with Katie. She did not wear mask and I felt her breathing on my face as she started massage with me on my back. I opened my eyes and said “oh, your not wearing a mask”. She replied, “ I dont wear one”. She seemed annoyed that I brought it up.
I asked her to get my mask and I wore it throughout the massage. I was more tense after coming than before. She came off like she was doing me a favor. Although I never had a scalp massage before, i would think the it would be done before her hands were gooped up with lotion from massaging other areas but it happened mid massage. She did not wear shoes and did not offer water at end of session which ended abruptly. I
felt unbalanced at end because she only massaged my right back scapula area, and not the left side. When I asked if she could exert a little more pressure, her snarky reply was “I’ll try”, with a sigh. I thought she was going around to left side but she said “ok, that’s it” and walked out. Barely said anything during session, not even checking how I was responding to massage. I don’t want a chatty person, but she was not friendly at all. Like it was a chore. Would definitely not recommend.
