Lisa listened attentively to my needs & concerns about my upcoming shoulder surgery being sure to ask me what positions for my shoulder/ upper body we’re uncomfortable & monitored my pain & limitations the entire time. Lisa took her time to work my injured shoulder are while providing me with relief from the pain, muscle tightness & soreness. Lisa had a masterful way of incorporating multiple massage techniques (not just 1 )which was amazing to feel the benefits of them. She used stretch modalities with the massage that had me completely relaxed & stress free when she finished. I like strong pressure & get deep tissue massages often, so I was pleasantly surprised as how effective her methods without feeling I was being dug & wrestled into as deep tissue can feel. I was in awe of how very effective at reducing the pain & tension in my whole shoulder & upper body so quickly & effortlessly was truly amazing. Lisa & I discussed post surgery muscle recovery & pain management plans as well. I was blown away by her expansive wealth of knowledge & education in so many areas of the whole body care & well being.

I’ve been a voice teacher for professional singers for over twenty five years and was concerned when I struggled to help singers release the tension they would sometimes experience in their voice. This desire to better serve my voice clients led me to massage therapy and the benefits it offers not only to singers, but to anyone who is needs assistance with muscle balance, pain management and alternative health care.
While I still work as a voice teacher for Broadway, National Tour and cruise line singers, I have become so passionate about the power of massage therapy that I have decided to devote my professional time and skills to massage therapy as well. What motivates me most in life is helping others live life more fully, with less pain and more freedom. Massage therapy is such an important factor in achieving those results.
I’ve experienced the effects of massage therapy personally while recovering from my own injury, multiple surgeries and in coping with the stresses of life. Those life experiences has given me an abundance of compassion for clients who are facing similar struggles. Offering others the same support I’ve received, brings me deep satisfaction, peace and joy.
Continuing education has been a part of my life twenty five years, because I want to have the latest, most updated information in order to better serve my clients. I have been naturally drawn to a yoga practice all my life, although I had never heard of moving meditation. As a young adult, I used my morning runs to quiet my mind and to practice being present. I was diagnosed with scoliosis in my 20s and discontinued running due to pain. I turned to yoga as a way to find the quietness I missed from running. I am a licensed massage therapist. I scheduled a Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) Therapy session with Lisa. I knew a little about it, however I had never received one before. Lisa did an exceptional job of explaining what to expect beforehand. Even though this type of therapy is different from the massages I have received in the past, I was so relaxed at the end I felt like I was floating. Her office is the perfect setting for an escape from the hectic world. I will absolutely be back!
