Breanna Christenson has always had a nature to help and support others, and through massage therapy she’s been able educate about the soreness and pain those people are experiencing. A Sonoma County native, Breanna took an interest in active movements and the functionality of the human body sparked a fascination for her at a very young age. Her competitive disposition lead to her interest in kinesiology, as well as, her pursuit in many sports including both soccer and softball at a traveling and collegiate level. In 2008, Breanna graduated from Analy High School to continue Santa Rosa Junior College to achieve an Associate's Degree to transfer to a university. In 2011, shortly before receiving her AA, Breanna began her massage career at National Holistic Institute - Petaluma in their 900-hour Core Program to be learned in Swedish, Zen Shiatsu, and various other massage modalities. She chose to further enrich her education at NHI - Emerville 450-hour Advanced Neuromuscular Program to be able to assess and distinguish between myofascial pain or dysfunction, contrary to having an injury, and to apply effective modalities to address these issues. Breanna graduated this May as a certified Neuromuscular Massage Therapist with over 1350 educational hours.

While at NHI, Breanna completed her externship with Sonoma State University’s Athlete Department and it was incredibly rewarding because it was feeding her drive to gain more knowledge about the working human body and the affect massage had on athletes. Through Breanna's over 20-year's of experience with sports and how injuries and stress from daily life can leave you sitting on the sidelines. Her refreshing therapeutic massage is great to prevent injuries by prolonging muscle flexibility and maintaining joints at an optimal state of balance, increasing the speed of recovery by sustaining healthy tissue. Improvements to the immune system and an overall sense of well-being, are just a few of the results Breanna has seen first hand. SSU Head Athletic Trainer and the Training Room found value within her work with the athlete’s and had asked her to come back as a Staff Volunteer for multiple seasons.

Breanna recently moved back to Sonoma County and has a new massage room located right in Santa Rosa!

She is excited work with and help cater to the weekend warriors, those with new or old injuries, or even if you're just looking for some relaxation. Massage has long been thought as a luxury for the few; however with Breanna you'll have an invigorating, therapeutic tool to improve the whole body at your convenience. Your personalized massage sessions will keep your muscles healthy, improve your immune system, and create a great sense of balance throughout your body; and your wallet as well!
