Every Body deserves a massage

I went to school at Cumberland Institute of Holistic Health in Brentwood Tennessee.

In school, and after as continuing education, I have studied; Swedish Massage, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, CranioSacral Therapy, Acupressure, Cupping, Abdominal Work, Hot Stone, and Myo-fascial work.  Massage is a passion of mine and I love figuring out how my skills can help the person on my table.

It amazes me every day the pain that I see people living with and still going on about their daily lives. I know this takes a toll on people. It changes the way we interact with each other. When we can free ourselves from even a bit of that pain, we can change the world. That is why I love my job. Even when people come in with no apparent stress or tensions going on, I am mindful that physical pain is not the only reason to seek out massage. It also calms the mind and gives you a fresh outlook on life. I have had massage help with depression, anxiety and insomnia. It isn't always about the physical knots in our body, there are emotional knots also.

In my spare time I love spending time with my family, I have 3 teen girls!!! I am usually running them to activities, joking around with them or helping them with their school. We try to go hiking every week or so. Oregon gives a wonderful opportunity to enjoy nature. I also enjoy going to the gym and knitting.  Though I do not knit at the gym :)

Very personable and informative. Welcomed me into our workspace and kept me feeling comfortable and at home. Targeted muscles that really were giving me issues and made sure to listen to any feedback I had.

I'm a cyclist with 40 years of athletic wear & tear on my body. Far from home & aching, after a brief conversation, Valerie was able to release the tension in my hips, SI joint, & leg. 90 minutes later, much better. Next day's 55km bike ride was pain free, & I've slept 2 nights through without meds. Thank-You Valerie.
