Every Body deserves a massage

I went to school at Cumberland Institute of Holistic Health in Brentwood Tennessee.

In school, and after as continuing education, I have studied; Swedish Massage, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, CranioSacral Therapy, Acupressure and Myo-fascial work.  Massage is a passion of mine and I love figuring out how my skills can help the person on my table.

It amazes me every day the pain that I see people living with and still going on about their daily lives. I know this takes a toll on people. It changes the way we interact with each other. When we can free ourselves from even a bit of that pain, we can change the world. That is why I love my job. Even when people come in with no apparent stress or tensions going on, I am mindful that physical pain is not the only reason to seek out massage. It also calms the mind and gives you a fresh outlook on life. I have had massage help with depression, anxiety and insomnia. It isn't always about the physical knots in our body, there are emotional knots also.

In my spare time I love spending time with my family, I have 3 teen girls!!! I am usually running them to activities, joking around with them or helping them with their school. We try to go hiking every week or so. Oregon gives a wonderful opportunity to enjoy nature. I also enjoy going to the gym and knitting.  Though I do not knit at the gym :)

Valerie is great-I could've stayed another hour. Very thorough, the right amount of pressure, and peaceful. I appreciate how respectful and compassionate she is!

Valerie was very attentive to my areas of concern/aches/pains and worked her magic. Last night was the first good sleep in a week - no neck/shoulder/arm tingling! THANK YOU!

Valerie is one of the most skilled massage therapist I have ever had. The Craniosacral treatment in particular was really helpful for persistent headaches and jaw tension / TMJ that I have had, where nothing else (medication, other treatments) was very effective
