After 18 years as a Medical Office Manager I returned to school to do what I love; nurturing and caring for others. I opened Oasis Massage Therapy in March of 2012 after graduation from Touching America - Hot Springs School of Massage. Since graduation I have acquired certification in Pediatric Massage (CPMT), certification in Manual Lymph Drainage (CMLDT) and specialized training in Oncology Massage. I am registered as a Preferred Provider by the Society of Oncology Massage (www.s4om.org).
I combine all my experience and training in a therapeutic, integrative style. My clients include people from age 5 to 101. I specialize in working with clients to find effective ways to gently and effectively treat and manage pain, as well as providing bodywork for those with illness and disease. Clients receive the most benefit when they feel comfortable and trusting of the therapist. For that reason, I work with clients either fully dressed or disrobed to their comfort level. Modalities that I practice include; Classic Swedish, Gentle Deep Tissue, Manual Lymph Drainage, Trager Approach, Shiastu, Thai Table workand assisted stretching, Oncology/Non-circulatory massage, and Cranial Sacral Therapy/Upledger technique. Your session may include at no additional costs; table warmer, hot or cold stones, aromatherapy/essential oils, warm towels and compresses, and the music of your choice.
I love what I do and strive to create a caring, homey environment to allow my clients to escape, if only for an hour or so.
I am available 5 days per week. I rotate taking off Wednesdays and Saturdays, so these days do not show as "open" on my calendar. I schedule these days myself based on my personal needs for that week. If you require a Wednesday or Saturday send me an email at email@example.com and I will send you dates and times that are open. I try to reserve Wednesdays for my Oncology clients. Most days I also try to keep one work-in spot available for clients with urgent needs. You are welcome to call me at 501-205-1908 to request my work-in spot for the day or send an email.
If you are a new client you will be required to pay in advance for your first visit. When you book a massage for are basically paying for my time, which I happen to spend providing you massage care. If you do not show up for your appointment, I am still here but can not offer that time to someone else. Your prepaid amount will not be refunded. If you provide at least 12 hours notice, I will gladly reschedule and not charge for the moved appointment.
To keep my overhead low and my rates down, I do not have a receptionist. I have an answering machine and calls are returned either during my lunch break or at the close of my business day.
Everyone loves receiving a massage gift certificate. However, due to my work load, periodically I will not offer gift certificates for new clients. This is due to the amount I have outstanding and the waiting time for an appointment. If you would like to prepay a visit for an existing client, I have cute cards available in the office that you can give to show your appreciation. You may also prepay by phone.
