Hi, I'm Nila. I'm a NY Licensed Massage Therapist, End-of-Life Doula & Reiki Practitioner. While I love working with all people, I especially love my work with the elderly and critically ill. After 10 years in Seattle I recently returned back home to the Hudson Valley. I live with my husband, Frank, and our dog, Max. I love to garden and cook and I am learning to throw pottery.

I am currently only offering mobile massage at your home or office. Prices listed are for locations within 20 minutes of Clintondale, NY 12515. Feel free to contact if you are farther away and I will assess the distance and add an appropriate travel fee.
Our work together is always tailored to what you need on that day, whether that's a massage for relaxation or for a more specific issue.
Here are some of the tools I use, so you can get an idea of my work. I usually mix and match throughout a session based on your needs.
- Swedish Massage - smooth, relaxing massage strokes that calm the nervous system
- Deep Tissue - focusing on adhesions and issues in the deeper layers of tissue
- Myofascial Release - sustained broad, gentle pressure allows the fascia (the network of connective tissue) to relax and unwind
- Trigger Point Therapy - very focused pressure in isolated areas encourage the brain to "let go" of tension that causes pain patterns
Sessions can also include the following (please specify ahead of time if you are interested in adding one of these):
- Hot Stones - massage with smooth hot stones.
- Cupping Therapy - this ancient technique uses suction cups to create space and increase circulation to a specific area
- Reiki - a Japanese energy healing technique, sometimes called palm-healing
Because I consider my work to be healthcare and not part of the service industry, I do not accept gratuities. I do appreciate kind words and referrals, though.

I attended the Center for Natural Wellness School of Massage Therapy in Albany, NY. My education there was 1020 hours and included extensive anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and pathology, as well as massage techniques such as swedish, myofascial release, shiatsu, sports massage, neuromuscular therapy, and energy work. I have additional training in oncology massage, prenatal and postnatal massage, hospital-based massage therapy, massage for hospice patients, and pain-relief massage. I am trained to work on a massage table, portable massage chair, and at the bedside.
I received my End-of-Life Doula training and certification from Doulagivers, with additional certification and training through NEDA (The National End-of-Life Doula Alliance) and the Elisabeth Kubler-Ross Foundation. I have thus far completed Reiki 1, 2, and advanced training. I have a BFA from NYU.
