About Us

I have been practicing the art of massage for almost 20 years now, so I have quite a bit of experience helping people to feel better in their bodies through massage and learning specific self care practices. In addition to giving a great massage for regular old stress, I have training in a variety of methods to help with some specific discomforts, including:

HEADACHES, WHIPLASH, and TMJ related pain

EDEMA (post surgical and lymphedema related swelling)

BACK PAIN

REPETITIVE STRAIN INJURIES (like the ones you get from typing, running, or biking a lot)

SCAR TISSUE related discomforts, including post surgical, liposuction, and BURN SCARS.

Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy

Ashiatsu is satisfyingly deep, yet gentle too. It is effective for reaching deeper layers of muscle that can be hard to reach with hands only massage, yet it can be applied with sensitivity. The therapist uses her feet and the weight of her body to apply long, broad, deep strokes, and her hands to work with sensitive areas such as head, neck, and face. Recommended for athletes and anyone who enjoys deep pressure.

MLD is a gentle, highly relaxing massage addressing the lymphatic system. It assists with lymphatic flow, and can reduce pre and post surgical edema, provide symptomatic relief from lymphedema, migraine headaches, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, scleroderma, and more. Hello! I got my first massage when I was 17, and it was then and there that I decided that I wanted to share the same wonderful experience with others. I went to college and became a social worker, but I was never really happy behind a desk, so in 1999 I enrolled in massage school (finally!) and have been learning about how to promote health and well-being through massage ever since.
