"...a skilled healer....her hands are magical and I have received many massages from others...also a kind and wonderful person...can't recommend enough." K.

Are you looking for a practitioner with exceptional skills? who cares about your health? and is not just going through the motions? Back when I learned massage, most of us felt were pursuing our calling in life, not just responding to a "fast track career" commercial we saw on TV. If you want to work with a practitioner who has great skills and experience, but also a true desire to help get you feeling your best, get in touch and let's get going!

If you want to work with a practitioner who has great skills and experience, but also a true desire to help get you feeling your best, get in touch and let's get going!

Here's a brief recap of my career:

1990s:
I learned massage at the Brenneke School in Seattle, Washington. My first practice was at health club in Green Lake from 1994-99.  I first learned yoga and meditation there, and practiced the Japanese martial art of Aikido.

Early 2000s:
I lived in the Dominican Republic and had a sports massage practice at a windsurfing school. I worked with water-sports fans from all over the world. That's where I also first learned Reiki.

2007- present
Returning to Boston, I worked at Healthworks Fitness Center in the Back Bay. I also studied Bodywork for Trauma at the Colorado School of Healing Arts and hypnotherapy at the Hypnotherapy Training Institute in Corte Madera, California.

During the past few years I've been interested in healing energy work. I completed an 18 month training in the Lightworkers Healing Method, repeated the Usui Reiki Level One training and completed Level Two. Most recently I completed the Reiki Master training and Master Teacher trainings.

I opened my own practice in Boston in 2010 on Newbury Street. Today you'll find me in the Brighton neighborhood, and also in my hometown of Chicopee in western Massachusetts!

I hope to meet you soon as well!

Helping

For extra income back in the day, I shared the homes of ladies with Alzheimer's and people with wheelchairs and mental health diagnoses. I helped them with breakfast and the like and learned precious lessons about humanity in exchange.

Traveling

I've ridden a camel in the Sahara desert and used to speak passable Arabic. I helped out at the first "special ed" school in Sidi Bouzid, Peace Corps, Tunisia. I spent hours alone and far from home, before the internet, contemplating jasmine vines and the hot North African sun. The reality is, the Tunisians helped me more than I could ever help them, from buying my refrigerator in ancient Arab souk, and bringing couscous to my door every day and every night. I am forever grateful.

Eating

I haven't eaten or worn animal products since 2001. I don't have a pet, but I really love animals. Oddly enough it was 9/11 that turned me into a vegan. Watching the Twin Towers burn, I knew I needed a way to remember to feel compassion and gratitude every waking moment. At the same time, I happened across a horrific documentary of factory farming as I was flipping channels on TV. It turned out that leaving animals off my plate was the the way I chose to honor kindness and non-violence every day of my life.

Living

I lived with the beach as my back yard for 5 years in the Dominican Republic. First with my grandmother and her dog, Tecla, then with my first husband when Gram passed away. I did massage on surfers and locals. Life was simple and I was forever sold on finding happiness in every day pleasures like eating papayas, giving massages, and waking up for the sunrise.

Lisa took the time to listen to my concerns and explain what she was going to. She was caring and professional. During the massage, I could tell she knows what she is doing and has good technique. The massage was wonderful, overall relaxing yet therapeutic in releasing tension from tight and sore areas.

The time spent stretching the affected parts and going slowly so I could get a feel for these to try at home.

She seemed to know exactly what to treat, what areas to focus on, perfect pressure. I felt 100 percent better after the session and booked my follow up as soon as I got home
