7/18/19 Hi All, As you no doubt recall, I have taken a job opportunity to join the team of therapists over in Michigan at Tri-Covery working with the Detroit Lions and the wonderful Strength coaches at MECA. I’m happy to say that the first 6 weeks has really affirmed that this was the right decision as I am really enjoying my work over here, sinking my teeth into things and learning a great deal from my incredibly talented colleagues who simply never cease to amaze me! I have been back and forth between Detroit and Chicago as my wife and I continue to tie up loose ends and have been able to fit in a small amount of trial work on Wednesdays at my old office at Kwai Fah, thanks largely to the flexibility shown by Heidi, Joan and Jada. I have now updated MassageBook to reflect my current availability and you can once again book online, however, as is the nature of my schedule, I am mostly working 7 days per week between the two cities, I ask for your patients and understanding if for some reason I cannot honor a booking request. Sending positive vibes in your general direction! Jon The Anvil Fascial Stretch Specialist and LMT Jon comes from a background in elite Rugby in Australia. Following years of putting his body through the rigors of such a physically demanding sport, his international relocation to the U.S. provided him with the opportunity for a new career direction and to learn about managing chronic pain and injuries through Massage.

A graduate from the Northern Virginia School of Therapeutic Massage, Jon's interests, training and focus is on fascial systems, clinical, athletic and deep tissue bodywork, as well as IASTM and kinesiology taping.

In addition to the aforementioned modalities and skill sets, Jon has recently completed his Level 2 Fascial Stretch Therapist certification at the prestigious and world renowned Stretch To Win Institute in Arizona. He is pleased to be adding such a corrective, powerful, effective and elite string to his bow, such as FST.

Whether you are training at the elite level or toiling away as a weekend warrior, let "the Anvil" hammer out the kinks, keep you moving functionally, help you to recover and optimize your performance.

Jon works with my son, who plays baseball and he is great both at the FST but also supporting my son in learning how to listen to and care for his own body.

Jon Christopher is simply the best!

I always feel better when I leave a session with Jon. He is so good at locating the source of the pain and then helping things loosen and release. He’s also really good at explaining what he’s doing, why he’s doing it and what you can do to help yourself continue to heal.

Amazing work! He's really in tune with the human body!

Jon listens to his patients and addresses their needs. Often spends extra time addressing niggling injuries and discomforts. A+

Jon is extremely knowledgable, I would recommend him to anyone!

Oddly enough, I think what was most memorable was the inner mouth "massage" to open my jaws- quite surprisingly effective! Will be going back for more of the stretching and bodywork.

Jon is hands down the best therapist I have seen. He continues to help me with mobility issues that flare up regularly. The combo treatment of massage and fst stretching has helped me with plantar facitis, hip and knee pain. Highly recommend.
