Hello! I am Elizabeth, a licensed Massage Therapist living in Chicago with over 14 years of experience practicing Massage Therapy and Bodywork. Originally from the Bay Area, I graduated from National Holistic Institute in San Francisco in 2008. My coursework included more than 700 hours of training, including intensive studies in Eastern and Western Philosophies for massage therapy and health education. In addition, I have taken separate specialty courses in Prenatal/Postnatal, Trigger Point Therapy, Craniosacral, Reflexology, Stretching and Joint Mobilization, Cupping, and Hot Stone Therapy.

Intake form is amnicely thorough & good for pointing out/commenting on trouble spots (I wasn’t sure it sent, the page sort of rebooted, looking like it crashed when I submitted, but it went through fine).
Elizabeth asked about pressure, let me know I could speak up for more or less (same with the massage table’s temp control) and let me zone out for the duration (the intake form wisely asked about my prefer level of speaking during the session).
Pressure was as we discussed & I felt very comfortable asking for more or less. I hadn’t had a message in a long while and no longer have the sports injuries I used to, so I was unsure if I would still want a more aggressive, deep tissue approach, so not feeling rude asking for more pressure in places halfway through was nice.
This is a quiet, dim room on the lower level of a Division St spa/salon, so some street sounds & sounds of the rest of the salon environment came through occasionally, but minor (soft relaxing music also plays during the massage).
Elizabeth is polite, professional, affordable and overall great. I’ll be back.

Elizabeth has been my massage therapist for several years now and is an absolute joy. As a person with fibromyalgia, I was seeking someone who understood the medical need of bodywork and was responsive to the subjective nature of chronic illnesses. From the very beginning, Elizabeth made me feel seen and heard in a way that isn't always a given. She checks in regularly and is very adaptive — I also have multiple chemical sensitivities and she is always intentional about creating an environment that respects that. She is lovely to chat with when I'm feeling up to it and also great at letting me snooze away while she works :) Highly recommended.
