I am Lynn. Welcome to my studio.

I moved to Chattanooga from Chicago where I studied Shiatsu and Oriental Medicine. I became certified in Ohashiatsu in 1996. Having Oriental medicine and Shiatsu training is an amazing foundation for my bodywork. Coupled with traditional Swedish techniques I feel confident in providing the treatment you require.
Everyone always asks me why Chattanooga?  This small city has diversity along with community. But I always say the nature is what keeps me here. I enjoy the mountain views, paddling rivers, and climbing cliffs. Active endeavors remind me how important massage is for physical recovery and for performance improvement.

Ohashiatsu Certified

Not only did I complete 4 years of training in the Ohashiatsu program, I also repeated many of the levels by assisting the directors. I took extra educational classes in 5 Element Theory, as well as Zen spirituality. For a short time, before moving, I worked on members of the Chicago symphony, and in upscale hotels downtown Chicago.

Instructor

Sporadically throughout the years I have enjoyed being an Instructor. I have taught classes for Shiatsu, Eastern modalities, Pathophysiology, as well as massage techniques. I believe this demonstrates an ability to listen well and inspire growth.

Talents

Massage Therapists are required to keep their licenses updated by taking Continuing Education courses. I have taken many courses over the years. And I have trained in spa therapies as well. The following is a list of modalities I am adept in. Medical massage, Shiatsu, Esalen, Reflexology, Spa therapies such as scrubs, body wraps, scalp massage, dry brushing, aromatherapy, chakra meditation, hot stone massage, myofascial release, stretching techniques, relaxation as well as deep tissue massage.

Surgical Technician

To see and touch the inside of our anatomy is amazing. Some of the important take aways are body mechanics and ergonomics. I know anatomy and physiology even better than most therapists.

Spa Director

After successfully practicing massage and spa therapies for over 10 years, I became the Spa Director. Understanding fully the customer service side of the day spa from all angles. Education is the sleepy underside of massage. Whether the therapist is learning through listening or actually furthering ones expertise. I enjoy learning and sharing what I know. I am always happy to make recommendations and or referrals.

Lynn's space is comfortable, quiet, and relaxing. She listens to your needs, and puts you at ease. Her massages are a combination of healing, decompressing, and calming. We have been clients for over 5 years, and don't plan to go anywhere else! Lori and Cindy

It is always an amazing experience with the skillful & talented healing hands & heart of Lynn Tengler, LMT. I especially loved the guided imagery which set the tone for the level of healing and relaxation. The grounding imagery leading to an amethyst cave was powerful, profound, & absolutely joyful. And my neck, shoulders, back, and knee all feel about 1000x better today. Highly recommend.
