She has worked with a range of clients, including professional athletes with sports-related injuries, pregnant women, and professionals with pains often caused by sedentary office work.
Originally from Chapel Hill, N.C., Betsy relocated to Charlotte in 1998 to be closer to her family. She’s a graduate of the University of North Carolina Charlotte and holds a bachelor’s degree in fine art. She still enjoys painting and various forms of art.
But, she discovered her passion for massage and helping others after she experienced a fall in 2005 that caused her to have a herniated disk and a back injury. Massage therapy was the most effective way to manage the pain from her back injury.
Consistent therapeutic massage, combined with a lifestyle focused on health and wellness, was the key for Betsy alleviating her pain from the injury.
After experiencing the immediate benefits of massage, Betsy decided to become a licensed massage therapist. She graduated from the Southeastern School of Neuromuscular and Massage Therapy (now called the Southeastern Institute) in February 2007.
Betsy cares deeply about delivering individualized care to each client through a personalized plan to respond to a range of needs. Her tailored treatments help clients who experience lower and upper back problems, tension, and muscle pains.
