If you've made it here, this Massage Book website is a work in progress for my upcoming massage therapy business!

I am currently still sorting out the different odds and ends of starting a business but I'm so excited to work for myself and share my abilities with anyone interested in receiving massage!

To start I'll be offering basic services like:

-Swedish massage

-Therapeutic massage

-Hot Stone massage

-Prenatal massage

Eventually, I want to work with kids with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) as I believe massage therapy could be very beneficial and have positive long term effects!

Swedish Massage

This is your basic relaxation massage if you want to decompress and de-stress. Typically during a Swedish massage, light to medium pressure is used. Benefits include increased circulation, relaxation, pain management, reduced stress, and has also been said to help with depression and anxiety.

Therapeutic/Deep tissue

Deep tissue is a more therapeutic kind of massage defined by specific work to the muscles usually with firmer pressure. It’s helpful in promoting healing and pain management. My goal is always to facilitate this kind of massage with as little discomfort as possible! Deep tissue doesn’t always mean super deep pressure.

Hot Stone Massage

Hot stones are the ultimate relaxation tool! The heat from the stones really irons out some of those tighter spots without having to use the pressure of deep tissue but can also be used for deeper work depending on what you need for the session. Heat naturally warms up and relaxes the muscles on a level deeper than regular swedish massage.

Pre-natal Massage

This is specifically for expecting mothers. Most pregnant women deal with all sorts of aches and pains associated with the major body changes while pregnant and massage can absolutely help aid in managing those aches and pains! For this session, you’ll be side-lying for the majority of the session with pillows. I will need a doctors note if you are only in your first trimester.

Hello!! My name is Jillian and I’m 28. I graduated from Miller Motte College in Cary, NC and I’ve had my LMBT license since September of 2013. Over the past 6 and a half years I’ve worked about 25-27 hours a week providing massage services for my wonderful clients! I started at a local privately owned business where I learned spa etiquette and basic spa techniques. After a year of that, I worked at another spa briefly, but then found my massage home of the past 5 years at the Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa in the Cary-Preston area. I’ve taken some really great continuing education locally in which I learned things such as Deep Tissue with Hot stones, an Oncology course, Pin and stretch techniques, and how to treat different kinds of headaches with massage. I’ve even more recently taken a Massage Business Bootcamp class to get me ready for this newest endeavor!
I’m so excited to be starting up my own business in Morrisville, NC this April!! Massage Therapy and Making people feel better is my passion and I’m really dedicated to giving clients what they need to help them deal with a variety of muscle related issues. One thing I’m really hoping to provide is a comfortable environment for people from all walks of life.
