Thank you for your feedback. We do have coat rack right as you come in to the clinic. We are unable to use aromatherapy due to some clients and students having allergies. This can be very deadly to some. Music is hopefully being settled this week!
There are two reasons why your treatment time would be reduced: 1) it is a student clinic and part of the session time may be used for the students to do assessments on the clients (this is also for your safety) 2) if the client arrives late, they will still end the appt time as scheduled so that the following appt starts on time.
We are continuing to renovate - our new paint is now complete! We are hoping for the music issue to be resolved this week. Thank you for your patronage!
As this is a school for massage, the students are expected to work on a variety of clients for them to continue to learn and develop their skills. If a student is sick or unable to be at their shift, we will transfer clients to another appropriate student rather than cancelling.

Thank you for your feedback Yasmin. As this is a student massage clinic, the therapists are still learning. We do not encourage them to do deep pressure until they have mastered their techniques and body mechanics. This is both for your safety as well as theirs. We hope to see you again to show you their growth.

We are glad to hear that normally you are happy with the massage here however, if you have feedback that would help our therapists grow and develop their skills we want to hear that too! Please share your concerns with the supervisor on site if any improvements need to be made.

A portion of your treatment plan will be to do a health intake with you. This is considered part of your booked time. Also, please make sure to use the bathroom before your scheduled appointment time as we have clients booked in afterwards and will not be able to extend this time spent for you.

We request (as most health care offices do) for clients to remove wet or muddy footwear at the door. If it is dry outside, there is no need to remove your shoes.

It is valuable for the supervisor to get your direct feedback on the particulars to address any training that needs to happen to help them continue to grow as a therapist. Thank you for your comment. The therapist will advise if the time you have booked may not allow for all of the areas you are wanting treated. A 30 minute booking is great to specialize in a certain area but if the therapist felt that they may not have time, it is best to discuss at the beginning to make sure expectations are clear for both. It sounds as though you both were able to make it work.
We do have music. If it is not playing, please advise your therapist as the machine may have stopped. As for aromas, we choose to be scent free as many students and clients have allergies. It is safer for everyone this way.
Thank you for the comment. As the students are learning at different levels, this may happen as they learn to have confidence with their time management. It sounds as though they came across an area they felt needed more time. We will address with them the need to communicate this earlier with the clients.
Thank you for your response. We have been using the same oil for over a year now. All of the students keep their oil in their lockers. You may be noticing a difference in temperature of the hands as some have very warm hands while others hands can be cooler. If you are still continuing to itch only after your massage, please contact us so we can look at a different oil for you.
As this is a student clinic, all of our therapists are at different levels of skills and techniques. For your safety and theirs, they are not to go to a deeper pressure than they have currently trained for. If you are looking for consistent deep pressure this may not be the appropriate place. Our clinic is set up to help the students grow in their skills and talents.

I am not sure what your comment is in regards to. We will not give out personal information on any of our students for their privacy and protection. We do not allow online booking as it was not communicating properly with our system and appts were not being noted correctly. This is for your benefit to ensure the information is put in properly.
If you leave a message, someone will return your call at the very next shift.
Thank you for your feedback. As we are a school for massage therapy, our supervisors (trained RMT's) will enter the room to make sure that the students are supported in the session with you. To avoid disturbing the client (as many will sleep) they will knock to advise they are entering. If the client is not in an appropriate position, the therapist will notify.
As this is a school for training of massage therapy, the clinic is set up for them to continue learning and improving on their techniques. If you are requiring a therapeutic session, we recommend booking in with an RMT at a massage clinic, not at a school, as we always have students of varying skills. They all start out learning relaxation and progress from there.
This is a student massage clinic and is another classroom for our therapists. We are not set up comparative to a spa setting. We do try to keep the noise level down, however it cannot always be controlled. We are glad that you enjoyed the massage regardless.

As for the pressure, they are directed not to go deep until they have learned the basic skills first. Hopefully you also gave your feedback to the supervisor when asked how the session went so that they could provide guidance to your student therapist.
There is music playing but perhaps your room had a more quiet speaker volume. We encourage our clients to speak up on these items as well so that we can make your visit more relaxing. Thank you for sharing.
You were asked by both the therapist and the clinic supervisor if the appointment went ok to which both you replied yes. You were also late 10 mins to your appointment and were advised that you could not receive the full hour due to this as there were other clients booked in after you. I invite you to call our office to discuss further.
Thank you for your feedback. Our students will ask questions about your daily activity in order to identify what areas/muscles may be getting stressed. The student clinic is also where they practice new techniques that they are learning. Some sessions may be a bit more technical in their treatments for this reason.
Thank you for your comments. As it is a student clinic, an extension of their classes, the rooms are not built with the same noise proofing you would experience in a regular massage clinic. This also helps us keep the prices down and more affordable. Hopefully the noise is not a regular occurrence and will not stop you from returning!

We regularly change the rotation of music. If you have an actual suggestion of what you would like to hear, please advise the supervisor on shift as we are currently purchasing new ones.
Thank you for your feedback. The face cradle and cushion are able to be adjusted so please advise your therapist if it is not fitting your face correctly.
Depending on when you arrived, you may have caught us before the shift started. We use this time to get organized and print off paperwork for the shift. If you are early, we do not always have someone at reception. The door is open so you can enter and use the washroom if needed. If there is another concern please let us know.
As a reminder, this is a student clinic and our primary purpose is to provide opportunities for our Massage Therapy students to continue to develop their skills. In essence, our clinic rooms are classrooms for our students. We hope that this will make more sense for your future visits.

Thank you for your feedback. We do have music playing however the volume is kept low as it is played in all of the rooms. We are also mindful that whomever is working in the front needs to be able to hear on the phone and with clients as well.

If they ask what you would like worked on, please be specific that you would like a full body massage with focus on areas of concern. Please remember that this is a student clinic and they are continuing to learn their techniques and develop their skills as therapists.

When the therapist asks at the beginning what areas you would like the focus to be on, please include these areas. Also, when the supervisor asks post treatment how the treatment went, please give them the feedback. You had responded that everything was great. We can't assist you if you don't let us know.

Thank you for your feedback. The appointment time starts as scheduled, even if you are late. If the student was late getting you in on the appointment time, there should be adjustments. This is best discussed with the supervisor on shift. Please make sure to arrive a few minutes earlier than your scheduled time to make time for bathroom and if you need to do any paperwork ahead of time.

We do suggest and encourage feedback if there is something that the student can work on so that we can assist their learning experience. This is part of the focus of the student clinic. We would welcome direct feedback from you on this experience or any others that may concern you.
As this is a student clinic, the appointment time is still used as a learning session for the therapists. They will take more time to go over your intake form, clarify what you are needing worked on and to explain the massage process. This is expected as part of their school training. Depending on the experience of the student, they may take a little longer than others. While we endeavor to start and finish on time, this again is normal in the learning curve.
We would welcome your feedback on what may have been missed by the student. As the clinic is an extension of their learning curriculum, knowing how we can guide the student in their skill development is a great part of this program.
