Nestled in the hill section of Burlington, you will find this intimate wellness sanctuary. Brooke CMT of Lakeside Massage & Bodywork, provides therapeutic massage and bodywork to people with acute or chronic pain. Brooke helps reduce pain, tension and stress by working directly with the nervous system. Andrea, licensed esthetician of Sundara Skincare, offers holistic skincare services ranging from healthy-aging facials to deeply relaxing classic facials. It is our goal to provide clients with an exceptional and unforgettable holistic experience. Whether you are looking to achieve results regarding a physical issue with your body or skin, or need time to unwind and just be, you will be in good hands.

Therapeutic Massage

Brooke blends several massage techniques into each session including Myofascial Release and Craniosacral Therapy, based on your symptoms and goals. Brooke's style of massage is always intended to decrease our "fight or flight" response to stress. Myofascial techniques can be applied to areas with adhesions and fascial restrictions to relieve acute or chronic tension and pain. This style of bodywork can create deep and lasting structural changes.

Prenatal Massage

Massage during pregnancy has many benefits for mother and baby. Massage therapy decreases maternal blood pressure, heart and respiratory rates. Increases blood supply to enhance overall fetal, reproductive, and mental health. Reduces swelling and relieves aches and pain associated with pregnancy. Having two children herself, Brooke knows the many benefits massage therapy can bring to expecting mothers. Brooke uses a side-lying and/or semi reclined position for your comfort.

Myofascial Release

Myofascial Release uses specific techniques to stretch and repair the connective issue between your muscles and organs (fascia). It helps your body heal properly from injuries and can restore range of motion. You may not be draped for this type of treatment. Please wear shorts and a sports bra or something you feel comfortable getting bodywork in.

Classic Facial

The classic facial involves a series of treatments that cleanses pores, exfoliates away dead skin cells, and treats common skin concerns with a custom mask. Drift away under the steam after a face and decollete massage, and wake up feeling renewed and nourished. Light extractions are included.

Fruit enzyme peels gently exfoliate the superficial layers of the epidermis and work to brighten the skin by revealing the nourished skin underneath. I became a licensed esthetician 10 years ago, and during my time working in a medical spa, I felt that something was missing. At the time, I specialized in laser treatments and basic facials. Clients would often compliment me on my sense of touch and deep connection during a treatment. I felt a strong pull to get more holistic, and work with not just the skin, but what was beneath it. I knew that I wanted to offer more than just a quick service using sub-par products. I knew that what I craved, was the ability to get creative during treatments, and focus on using my energy for a more healing experience. Fast forward a few years, and here I am in this peaceful studio, doing exactly that. I have created a service menu that I am whole heartedly passionate about, selected a natural product line that I believe in, and I am doing what I love while having artistic freedom. It brings me so much happiness to be in this place, both physically and mentally, to provide these absolutely necessary healing services to others.
