I was born and raised in Kentucky. As a child I lived in Louisville, but my family spent weekends and vacations on our land in Clementsville, Ky. I was very much a tomboy and my favorite place to be was outside playing in nature, especially the branches and creeks. As a teenager, I became very interested in the teachings of Edgar Cayce and the natural healing. Cayce's ability to help others through natural remedies inspired me to learn more about our connection with our earth and spirit.
In 1998, my daughter and I moved to Bowling Green, Ky. I enrolled in WKU for business management and also took classes in horticulture. I began to research native medicinal herbs and the history of their uses. The more I learned, the more interested I became in natural medicine and healing. The friends I made during this time lead me to appreciate fresh cuisine and healthy eating. I became aware of the importance of eating organic and locally grown food. I feel in love with natures bounty and how good it made me feel.
In early 2000, I moved to Nashville, TN, and started working for Aveda Lifestyle Store. While working for Aveda, I learned the importance of using natural and plant based organic skin care products and essential oils. As a courtesy to our customers we would offer 10 min stress relief massages. I was often complimented on my massage skills and was urged to pursue it as a career. I enrolled in The Natural Heath Institute in Nashville, Tn. I became a licensed massage therapist and have been practicing for over 12 years.
My experience as a massage therapist, and my passion for holistic health inspired me to start my own practice. In 2012, I opened Suite Zen Therapeutic Spa in Downtown Bowling Green, Ky. The business and the vision that inspired it has grown. Suite Zen is now a holistic health center and organic spa. The natural wellness professionals and the services that are offered at Suite Zen are growing to meet the needs of our community. We are passionate about helping others meet their wellness goals. I am honored to be a part of such a great team of caring professional and am thankful everyday for such amazing clients.

I have always had an interest and curiosity for healing the human body from disease and illness naturally. As a very young child my mother would have me lay hands on her and told me that the therapeutic touch of my hands were healing to her. Sounds kind of silly but it makes sense now. My mother would share books with me about spiritual practices, hypnosis, meditation, and energy work. Brushing it off in my younger years those little seeds had been planted and would one day blossom. After high school, I attended WKU and was headed down the mainstream conventional medicine route of becoming a registered nurse with the intent to help and serve people in need. I quickly found that this way of thinking was not for me. Achieving the Deans List my last semester at WKU I made my decision to move across the United States and study bodywork and holistic therapies.
Attending the Denver School of Massage Therapy was eye opening. I learned that massage therapy and the natural approach to the body and healing practices was a way of life. It was a life practice. This carried over and grew into many other certifications in orthopedic massage, myoskeletal alignment, thai massage, sports massage, sound/vibrational healing and yoga. Everyone uses different methods and tools for healing. Here are some of my favorites.
