I became a massage therapist to help others not do the things that I did when I was young. I've broken myself with contact sports and strenuous occupations and I've had to learn to put myself back together.
I use a combination of Western ideology and Chinese theory to communicate the range of dysfunction that may appear in the various types of tissues during a session. I offer a comprehensive way to treat discomforts in the body as they relate to my scope of practice.
I studied a Japanese martial art known as Aikido for three years. It is a system of movement that harmonizes aggression and I embodied a kinesthetic awareness of my own body that has helped me in my work as a massage therapist. I studied at the school that my Aikido instructor founded: Three Oaks Academy and Integrative Therapies Clinic in Boise Idaho. Most of my methods are overlapping. I use a combination of Fascial Distortion, Trigger point and Neuromuscular techniques in all my bodywork. I am a solution-based therapist versus a relaxation specialist. Though you will be able to relax after one of my sessions.
My business is completely mobile. I only do out-calls. I service Boise, Meridian and Eagle. For liability issues, I only provide services to clients in established residences. This includes homeowners or renters of single family units. I don't provide services to apartment complexes, Multiplexes (unless it is a condominium), hotels or government appropriated living quarters. This is to insure optimal privacy and safety for my clients.
I approach my work seriously and competently (though I do have a sense of humor) and I expect the same from my clients. Trust is the foundation of any relationship and its no different between therapist and client. And with trust comes respect. My hope is that I can establish a good foundation with all my clients and make it the best experience possible for both of us. hide
