Fall in love with taking care of yourself

I am a 2010 Graduate of the Boulder College of Massage Therapy 1000+ hr program. I began the first few years of my massage career by working in a few chiropractic offices, I enjoyed helping people heal and progress through injuries and chronic pain patterns, and learned so much about incorporating both therapies.

I began the first few years of my massage career by working in a few chiropractic offices, I enjoyed helping people heal and progress through injuries and chronic pain patterns, and learned so much about incorporating both therapies.

After a couple incredible visits to the Eastern Sierra, I made the moved to the Bishop area in May of 2013. I started working in Mammoth for about a year at the Healing arts centre, then moved to full time in Bishop with a practice now for over 3 years. Other activities I enjoy are painting, gardening, baking, hiking, mountain biking, rock hounding, yoga, & pilates, studying nutrition and serving occasional tea ceremonies.

One of the many aspects I love about my job is that it doesn't feel like "work" ~ I enjoy establishing relationships with each client, giving adequate time for a thorough check-in before each session to establish a focus for that particular day, making sure I understand exactly what they need in that moment. I love providing an unhurried environment, I believe it initiates relaxation before the massage even begins. I love working with everyone, from recovery for athletes to comfort massage for geriatrics. I am always learning more as I grow in my career, and love practicing new techniques to broaden my scope of practice.

My advanced training's include Swedish, Zen Shiatsu (Accupressure) , Deep Tissue, Myofacial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, Reflexology, Vibrational Medicine, Facial Massage, and Cupping. Each session is customized to meet each clients unique needs. I will be continuing my education in Sarga Massage in 2018, a special massage technique originating from Hawaii, similar to Ashiatsu (Deep barefoot massage)

I’ve been going to Jessica for several years. Outstanding massages, she knows exactly where to focus and how much pressure to use. Very comfortable and relaxing room, too.

Jessica listens to me and takes special care of whichever body parts need work. Due to numerous aging-itises, I enter her office with pain and leave pain free, I recommend Jessica to everyone in need of quality, knowledgeable, therapeutic, and relaxing massages. Thank you, Jessica!
